Eagle County, Colorado Announces New  Assistant Director of Aviation

In his new role, Solsvig will direct, coordinate and supervise operations and customer services for terminal facilities. He will also assist the Executive Aviation Director with compliance of FAA Part 139 and TSA 1542 regulations and provide for the safety and security of passengers, businesses and employees.

Solsvig brings over eighteen years of progressive aviation experience to EGE, beginning with airline ramp operations, internships and career development in the airport industry.

Most recently, Solsvig served as the Airport Director at the Minot International Airport (MOT), a position that he held for six and a half years. Prior to his work at MOT, Solsvig served at the Reno-Tahoe Airport (RNO) in various roles for nine years.

Solsvig has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of North Dakota, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is also a Certified Member (C.M.) with the American Association of Airport Executives and a private pilot. Solsvig was named one of Airport Business Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40” aviation professionals, and he has been heavily involved in the aviation industry.
