Kenton County Airport Board Selects Director of Accounting, Capital Assets

In this position, he will be responsible for directing activities related to accounting for capital expenditures, componentization, capitalization and safeguarding of assets, application of expenditures to capital funding sources and compliance therewith, and interfacing with departments throughout the organization and regulatory oversight authorities.

As Deputy City Treasurer of Salt Lake City, Mr. Moratalla brings more than twenty years of experience with the Salt Lake City Department of Airports. In his current position, he has been very involved in Capital Improvement Programs, helping obtain funding for major projects and the issuance of bonds for a $120 M Performing Arts Center. At the airport, Mr. Moratalla monitored and worked on funding sources for all capital projects, which were part of the 1997 Master Plan Terminal Reconstruction Project.

Mr. Moratalla has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in from Aquinas University in the Philippines. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Utah and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He will begin his new position with CVG on August 21.
