Melbourne Airport Authority Announces Selection of  Director of Capital Improvements

In his new role, Mr. Perley will plan, direct and manage the activities related to planning, engineering, construction, environmental and sustainability activities. He will also provide technical and administrative coordination in support of Melbourne International Airport’s capital improvements, facilities maintenance and tenant improvement projects.

Mr. Perley has over 30 years of construction experience on capital projects. In his last position, he served as Senior Director of Port Construction and Infrastructure with the Canaveral Port Authority, where he was involved in over $400 million dollars’ worth of port construction, including cruise terminals, cargo berths and the iconic Exploration Tower. Prior to that, Mr. Perley was Senior Project Manager for the A.D. Morgan Corporation in Tampa, Florida.

Mr. Perley holds a Bachelor of Design in Architecture, Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning and a Master of Science in Building Construction, all from the University of Florida. He is certified through the American Institute of Constructors and has been heavily involved in the industry.
