The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission Announces New Appointment for Airport Director
As the Airport Director, Lenss will plan, organize, and direct the operations, maintenance, and development of The Eastern Iowa Airport. He will also be responsible for community relations, air service development, fiscal oversight and strategic planning.
With a career spanning over 20 years in the airport industry, Lenss most recently served as the Executive Director of the Rochester International Airport in Rochester, MN, after a five year stint as the Airport Director at the Outagamie County Regional Airport in Appleton, WI. Previous airports include Dane County Airport, Cheyenne Airport and Tulsa International.

Lenss holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Airport Administration and Business Management from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota and has been a presenter at several industry seminars and conferences. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Great Lakes Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), and has been extensively involved in the communities in which he has served. Lenss is also the recipient of numerous industry awards and honors.
