The City of Brownsville Selects New Airport Director
In his new role, Walker will manage and maintain the Brownsville Airport and direct all airport functions. He is responsible for developing airport policies, negotiating with airline companies, and establishing the airport budget. Additionally, he will research and formulate long range goals for the organization; develop policy and position papers for city management and/or elected officials.
Walker brings over 16 years of aviation experience to his new position. He has most recently been the Assistant Security Manager with the Sacramento International Airport, a position he has held since 2011. Prior to that, Walker held positions with the Missouri Department of Transportation, the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport and the Philadelphia International Airport.
Walker holds a Masters of Public Administration from NOVA Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Airport Management from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. He also holds accreditation as a Certified Member (C.M.) from the American Association of Airport Executives (A.A.A.E.).
