The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Announces New Director of Air Service Development
Under the general direction of the Vice President of Marketing, Mirman will direct the strategic and tactical efforts to attract airlines to increase flights in domestic and international markets. He will also develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet the Authority’s goals and objectives, execute short and long-range marketing initiatives to build the core business of passenger and cargo service, and provide situational awareness of the airport’s regional market.
Originally from Argentina, Mirman has been in the United States since 2003 and has worked within the aviation industry for over 8 years with such companies as US Airways, Continental Airlines, and Spirit Airlines. Most recently, he was with Southwest Airlines’ Network Planning Division where he served as a senior analyst and a business consultant.
“I am honored and excited to have been selected to join the Tampa International Airport as their new Air Service Development Director,” said Mirman. “TPA has great potential to grow their domestic and international airline service and improve connectivity with the rest of the world. Mirman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Universidad Católica de Córdoba in Argentina, and an MBA from the University of Nebraska. He has been heavily involved in numerous industry activities. Mirman’s hobbies include traveling, playing golf, and he enjoys sampling Malbec red wine from his native Argentina accompanied by a good steak.
