The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Announces New Deputy Director, Aviation

The Aviation Department manages/operates the world's busiest airport system - John F. Kennedy International, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty International, Stewart International and Teterboro airports - and has a management agreement at Atlantic City International Airport.  The Port Authority's airports produce revenues of $2.4 billion. 

Reporting to the Director of Aviation, Mr. Huntley Lawrence, A.A.E., Mr. Everett, serving as second in command, will provide direct oversight of a substantial operating and capital budget and overall direction to an executive management team of 13 senior staff members and an operational / maintenance staff of nearly 1,500 employees and five airports. He started his new position August 28, 2017. 

Mr. Everett most recently served as the Executive Director of the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority where he managed a three-airport system composed of one commercial service airport and two general aviation facilities. Previously, he was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a Congressional Liaison advising staff and members of Congress on airport issues. He also served as the Manager of the National Planning and Environmental Division of the Office of Airports with the FAA. Prior to FAA, Mr. Everett served as an airport manager, city operations manager and consultant in upstate New York. He retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 2008.

Mr. Everett earned a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies, with a concentration in Transportation Planning, from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC®) of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) USA. Mr. Everett also serves as a board member of the Airports Council International - North America (ACI-NA); the Aviation Council of Pennsylvania (ACP); Discover Lehigh Valley; and the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
