The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority Announces New Appointment for Senior Vice President & COO

Sandifer will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Airport, including airport operations, operational and facility asset management and planning.

Most recently, Sandifer served as Senior Vice President and National Aviation Director for Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Inc., an internationally recognized architecture, engineering, planning, and environmental services consulting firm. He oversaw RS&H’s global Aviation Practice and was ultimately responsible for the execution of RS&H aviation projects and annual business plan objectives.

A leader in the aviation industry, Mr. Sandifer's 25 years of experience includes senior-level airport management positions at several large commercial service airports in the United States, in addition to significant consulting experience at numerous general aviation and commercial service airports, domestically as well as internationally. He is actively involved in national committees for both the American Association of Airport Executives and Airport Consultants Council.

Sandifer earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University, Master of Business Administration from The University of Michigan, and Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Eastern Michigan University. He is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).
