Board Consultation

ADK has many years of experience working with all sizes of boards. As a whole, board members bear a legal responsibility to govern an organization. Fulfilling that responsibility encompasses many individual roles and responsibilities. Each member brings different strengths, talents, and abilities to the board. One of the keys to a successful organization is having a board and CEO who are aligned on strategic initiatives and goals and who have a strong working relationship. If new board members do not have the appropriate preparation and guidance to fully understand their responsibilities, they may either overreach their responsibilities or underperform which is a hindrance to the effectiveness of a board. Having an onboarding process and periodic reviews and/or facilitation of a retreat are recommended to help boards be more effective and to have continuity as new members replace those who leave. We work closely with board members and CEOs to better connect and accomplish long-term goals.
