Andy Solsvig, A.A.E., Named Airports Manager by The City of Redding

REDDING, CA – The City of Redding has named Andy Solsvig, A.A.E., as Airports Manager for Redding Regional Airport (RDD) and Benton Field (O85). Mr. Solsvig will be responsible for the safety, planning, budgeting, staffing, property management, and operation of the City’s two airports. He began his new role on September 16, 2024.

Mr. Solsvig brings more than twenty years of experience in the aviation industry, previously serving as Airport Director for Canyonlands Regional Airport in Utah and Minot International Airport in North Dakota. He has also worked for Eagle County Regional Airport as Assistant Airport Director / Operations Manager / Airport Security Coordinator and for Reno-Tahoe International Airport as Marketing Coordinator. Prior to joining RDD, he worked for Blast Deflectors, Inc. as a Business Development Representative.

I’m enthusiastic about working with our talented team and engaging with the community to enhance our airport operations.”

Mr. Solsvig received a bachelor’s degree in Airport & Business Management from the University of North Dakota and went on to earn his master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) of the American Association of Airport Executives and is a private pilot.
