Avports Announces Carmiena Brooks as Assistant Airport Manager

ALBANY, NY – Avports has named Carmiena Brooks as Assistant Airport Manager for Albany International Airport (ALB). Ms. Brooks will be responsible for the daily operation and administration of ALB, including the Commercial Services and Curbside Security departments. She will also coordinate airport construction and maintenance performed by Avports staff, along with airport tenants, public utilities and contractors. She began her new position on December 19, 2022.
Ms. Brooks brings more than twenty years of aviation and security experience to this position. Most recently she was Chief Operations Officer for APSIL Security Services International Ltd. where she oversaw the administrative and operational functions of the company. Previously, she was Manager, Operations and Services for Argyle International Airport and has also worked for Jamaica Civil Aviation Airport Authority and Jamaica Dispatch Services.
“I am excited to join the highly talented and diverse team at Avports, Albany International Airport, the gateway to the New York State greater capital region,” said Ms. Brooks. “The upcoming Airport Terminal Enhancement Project, a project that will commence in January 2023, is posturing ALB to be a premier gateway for travelers, and I am eager to get involved with those efforts. I look forward to working with the dedicated team of aviation professionals.”
Ms. Brooks earned her bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics and her master’s in Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
