The City of San José Aviation Department Announces Faiyaz Ali as New Senior Engineer

SAN JOSE, CA – The City of San José’s Aviation Department has appointed Faiyaz Ali as Senior Engineer. In this position, Mr. Ali is responsible for managing a variety of multidiscipline airport projects as part of the Airport Capital Development Program at the Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC). He began his new position in February 2019.
Mr. Ali began working for the Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport in 2014 and has progressively advanced within the engineering team. He has served as an Engineer I/II, Associate Engineer and most recently as Acting Senior Engineer.
Mr. Ali received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of California and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Fiji Institute of Technology. He is also a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and served in the United States Air Force.
