Richard McElman Named Managing Director – Airport Information Systems by The Clark County Department of Aviation

LAS VEGAS, NV – The Clark County Department of Aviation has named Richard McElman as Managing Director – Airport Information Systems. In this position, Mr. McElman will provide strategic leadership for a wide spectrum of specialized technical teams at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and four General Aviation Airports. He will oversee the airports’ network, server, database, telecom, help desk, tech support, GIS, and EAM. Mr. McElman began his new role on March 18, 2024.

Mr. McElman is a seasoned IT leader with more than 20 years of experience. Most recently, he was Senior Director – Global Architecture & Engineering for AJ Gallagher, a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting services. In that role, he spearheaded the Global Architecture team, overseeing comprehensive infrastructure areas to ensure seamless enterprise operations across Gallagher’s global presence. Mr. McElman has also worked for United Airlines, holding the titles of Director – Network, Security & Voice Engineering; Director – Data Center Engineering; and Director – Platform Operations.

Mr. McElman has completed Electronics Technician “A” School through the United States Coast Guard.
