The Broward County Aviation Department Names Lauren Scott, A.A.E., as Enterprise Director of Planning

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The Broward County Aviation Department has named Lauren Scott, A.A.E., as Enterprise Director of Planning. In this position, Ms. Scott will be responsible for the administration and direction of planning activities for the Aviation Department which operates Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and North Perry Airport (HWO). This includes implementing the airports’ master plans, long-range plans, Airport Layout Plans (ALP), and related Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). She began her new role on June 24, 2024.
Ms. Scott has a strong background in complex project management and large-scale capital development with a foundation in airside and landside operations. Most recently, she was Senior Manager of Aviation Planning for the Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA). In that role, she managed planning and environmental activities for the medium-hub and three general aviation airports and spaceport within JAA. She has also worked for The City of Charlotte as Planning & Environmental Manager.

Ms. Scott received a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics and a master of business administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).
