The County of San Luis Obispo Appoints Courtney Johnson, C.M., CAE, as Deputy Director, Finance & Administration

LUIS OBISPO, CA – The County of San Luis Obispo has appointed Courtney Johnson, C.M. as the new Deputy Director, Finance & Administration for the San Luis
Obispo County Regional Airport (SBP). She will begin her new position Jan. 22, 2019.
Ms. Johnson comes to the airport from the Minter Field Airport District, where she served as Manager of Finance and Administration for six years. At Minter,
she directed all accounting, personnel and administrative operations; leasing and property administration and oversaw the fiscal management of federal
and state grant programs.
“This position is expected to succeed in a variety of areas, so we needed someone with a strong background in administration and a deep knowledge of industry best practices,” said Kevin Bumen, C.M., C.A.E., Director of Airports. “We are confident that Courtney’s expertise and enthusiasm will drive the airport to new heights.”

Ms. Johnson received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University. She is also involved in industry organizations, especially the American Association for Airport Executives (AAAE). She is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association for Airport Executives. Ms. Johnson is currently the Southern California Director for the Southwest AAAE Chapter (SWAAAE) and received the chapter’s Certified Airport Executive (C.A.E.) accreditation in 2017.
