The Melbourne Airport Authority Appoints Stephanie Betts as Assistant Director of Operations & Maintenance

MELBOURNE, FL – The Melbourne Airport Authority has named Stephanie Betts as Assistant Director of Operations & Maintenance for the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB). As a member of the executive team for MLB, Ms. Betts will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of Operations and Maintenance personnel and contractors. She will also direct the Airport’s daily FAA compliance requirement activities and assist Airport staff during emergencies. She began her new position on February 6, 2023.
Ms. Betts has been serving as the Acting Airport Operations Manager since 2022, responsible for ensuring compliance with FAA and FAR Part 139 Certification requirements. She has also managed the airfield self-inspection program for safety, security and general conditions. Previously she worked for Federal Airways & Airspace and for Bristow Academy.

Ms. Betts received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Aviation Management from Florida Institute of Technology.
