Theresia Schatz, A.A.E., to Moderate “Women Who Fly Cargo” Session for International Aviation Womens Association

LEESBURG, VA – Theresia “Sia” Schatz, A.A.E., Senior Consultant for ADK, will moderate a webinar discussion titled “Women Who Fly Cargo” for the International Aviation Womens Association. Held on August 26, 2022 at 12pm EST, this virtual event features two female cargo pilots – Captain Alyse Adkins, Assistant Chief Pilot for UPS and Cheryl Pitzer, MD11 Fleet Captain for FedEx Express.

According to FAA data, approximately 6% of active pilots are women, and even fewer are cargo pilots. Learn what life is like as a cargo pilot, the challenges and opportunities experienced, and how Captain Adkins and Captain Pitzer got to where they are and the work they are doing to encourage women in aviation.

The International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA) is an international organization for women who hold positions of impact in the aviation and aerospace industry. Founded in 1988, IAWA brings together women of achievement and promotes their advancement throughout the world.
