Wade Davis, C.M., Named Director of Airports for The Shreveport Airport Authority

SHREVEPORT, LA – The Shreveport Airport Authority has named Wade Davis, C.M., as the new Director of Airports for the Shreveport Regional Airport (SHV) and the Shreveport Downtown Airport (DTN). Davis’ appointment was approved with a unanimous vote by the Shreveport City Council on December 10. He will begin his new position January 18, 2020.

Mr. Davis most recently served as Executive Director of the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority in New York and was instrumental in expanding Ogdensburg International Airport from Class III to Class I, an effort led by the Federal Aviation Administration. That project included a $26 million runway expansion that accommodated new, heavy jet service. Through his air service developments, Mr. Davis added two major air carriers, supervised seven executive level officers and two distinct funds with a combined $100 million in assets, which generated more than $800 million annually. Additionally, Mr. Davis served as Senior Financial Analyst at MeadWestvaco Specialty Paper from 1999 to 2006.

Mr. Davis graduated from the State University of New York with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He also graduated from Clarkson University with a master’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Engineering and Global Operations Management. Mr. Davis is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives.
