The Lee County Port Authority Works With ADK to Find Next Director of Engineering and Construction

ADK Consulting & Executive Search, a retained recruitment firm known for its expertise in senior executive searches in the aviation industry, announced it has recruited a Director of Engineering and Construction for The Lee County Port Authority. Leandro Goicoechea, P.E., will be responsible for all aspects of engineering and construction management at Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field. He will ensure the successful delivery of large-scale capital improvement projects totaling hundreds of millions in value, by balancing scope, schedule, and budget while aligning operational goals and regulatory standards.
Mr. Goicoechea brings experience in both the private and public construction industries, with a focus on preparing and reviewing engineering designs as well as creating and analyzing needs assessments for future developments. He has worked for the Lee County Airport Authority since 2024, most recently serving as Senior Manager, Engineering and Construction. In that role, he was responsible for the management of all improvement projects with an estimated value of under $100M involving multi-disciplined architectural, engineering and construction elements. Previously, Mr. Goicoechea worked for Collier County, Florida, for eight years, holding the titles of Traffic Operations Principal Project Manager and Facilities Senior Project Manager. He also served as Construction and Facilities Director for Commonwealth Parkville School in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Mr. Goicoechea holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and went on to receive his master’s degree in engineering management from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. He is certified as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).
