LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission has named Stephen Baker as Executive Director. In this position, Mr. Baker will provide leadership, supervision, coordination, and direction of all activities and staff at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (LIT). He will begin his new position on August 6, 2024.

On June 20, the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission voted to hire Mr. Baker from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), where he serves as Vice President of Business Administration and Deputy Vice President of Revenue Innovation.

“We are delighted to have Steve join us as the new executive director of Clinton National Airport,” Bill Walker, the chair of the Airport Commission, said in a statement. “His exceptional experience and leadership will be essential as we work with staff to expand the airport and build on the successes of our previous executive director.”

Mr. Baker has worked for MWAA since 2005. The Authority oversees Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport. His previous work experience includes positions with Miami-Dade County’s aviation department, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, American Airlines and United Airlines.

“I am excited to serve as the next executive director of Clinton National Airport, and I appreciate the commission’s confidence in me,” said Mr. Baker. “I look forward to working collaboratively with the commission, the airport team, and the Little Rock community to advance the airport’s role as a leading transportation hub and a key economic engine for the state of Arkansas.”

Mr. Baker has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University.
