ADK to Attend ACI-NA Business of Airports Conference in Arizona

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – ADK Consulting and Executive Search will be attending the 2023 ACI-NA Business of Airports Conference to be held on June 26-28, 2023, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Several team members will be participating in panel sessions during the conference.

Gale LaRoche, Ph.D., J.D., SHRM-SCP, is moderating a panel titled “HR Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Modernizing Your Organization.” The panel is comprised of Adrienne Washington, Vice President of Human Resources, Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority; Chris Gilliland, Director, Innovation & Technology Development, Vancouver Airport Authority; and Chris Poinsatte, Chief Financial Officer, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Digital transformation is all about actively leveraging technology and data to help us steer our people strategy in a future-focused way. The group will discuss how HR is uniquely positioned to provide value-added business insights about a company’s most critical investment—its people. Learn how a project team comprised of HR, IT and other relevant business experts is needed to collaborate across functions and departments, which will include the CEO, in making this a success.

Anthony Barnes, Senior Consultant, is participating on a panel titled “Systemic Inequality in the Airport Industry: Exploring the Racial Divide.” Katherine Preston, Group Leader of Aviation Environmental Services, HMMH, will be moderating the panel discussion. Joining Anthony on the panel will be Heather Barry, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, SSP America; Bookda Gheisar, Senior Director of the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, Port of Seattle; and Delicsha Wilds, Chief Administrative Officer, Philadelphia International Airport. In April 2022, the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) convened a two-day meeting of aviation experts to discuss the challenges faced by airports and identify areas of future interest and research. This panel will share the conclusions from this discussion and strategies to continue the work to make the industry more diverse and inclusive.

In addition, Christine Santiago, SHRM-SCP, Senior Human Resources Consultant, will be facilitating roundtable discussions during the conference. Other ADK team members attending include Sybil Murphy, SHRM-SCP, CCP, CBP, Senior Human Resources Consultant, and Kenneth Gwyn, A.A.E., Senior Project Manager.
