ADK’s Blake Astran, J.D., To Speak At Virginia Aviation Conference

NORFOLK, VA – Blake Astran, J.D., Vice President, Business Development for ADK, will speak at the Virginia Aviation Conference which will be held August 17-20, 2021 in Norfolk, Va. Mr. Astran joins Keith Holt, Airport Director, Virginia Tech/Montgomery Executive Airport, and Bridget Cox, Area Director, Signature Flight Support Corporation, to present a session titled “Attracting, Training & Retaining Talent” on August 18. The news headlines tell us that retirements abound, the wage environment has tightened, safety and training remain crucial and that employers are feeling the heat.  Is this what it really looks like in our industry?  These industry leaders will share what they are seeing and tools that they have used to be successful in this competitive labor environment.

The Virginia Aviation Conference is hosted by the The Virginia Airport Operators Council (VAOC), which serves the common interest of the owners, operators and users of the 66 public use airports located throughout the State of Virginia. VAOC provides a unified voice for airport operators to State and Federal agencies, the General Assembly and the Congress of the United States of America, on proposed or pending legislation and regulations.
