Anthony Barnes Celebrates First Anniversary on ADK Team

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Anthony Barnes, Senior Consultant, is celebrating his one-year anniversary with ADK. Mr. Barnes has more than 15 years of experience in leadership roles including team development, community engagement and outreach in the aviation and non-profit industries.
Mr. Barnes brings operational experience in addition to his work serving communities and business partners in various roles. Prior to joining ADK, Mr. Barnes worked with the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) in Washington, D.C. for almost seven years, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he cultivated relationships with industry and business partners, the community and the government to promote the inclusion of minority-owned and women-owned businesses in airport contracting and employment. Preceding his role as COO, he directed membership recruitment and retention, event planning, revenue strategies and legislative agendas as Director of Business Development & Membership Services with AMAC.
Prior to his career with AMAC, Mr. Barnes held the position of Development Associate with Doctors Community Hospital Foundation where he spearheaded strategic community engagement focused on multi-racial communities to promote the hospital’s services and programs and increase volunteer recruitment.
Mr. Barnes has also held various roles with the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization where he increased fundraising, streamlined processes and increased community awareness.
Mr. Barnes earned his bachelor’s degree in History from Oakwood University. He went on to receive his master’s degree in Public Administration from Bowie State University concentrating in Public Policy.
