Caroline Bonynge, C.M., Appointed Director of Operations, Safety and Security for Aspen-Pitkin County Airport

ASPEN, CO – Pitkin County has selected Caroline Bonynge as Director of Operations, Safety and Security for the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport (ASE). In this role, Ms. Bonynge will manage the daily operations of the airport including safety, construction, security, project management, tenant relations, division budgeting, and supervision of staff both airside and landside. She began her new position May 26, 2019.

Ms. Bonynge joined the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in September 2017 after two years of working at the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) as Manager of Training and Business Development. Her aviation experience includes working with AAAE, U.S. Airways/American Airlines, Piedmont Airlines and Aircraft Service International Group across the Midwest and northeast.

“I am very excited to take on this new role with ASE,” said Ms. Bonynge. “I look forward to continuing to work with the talented and dedicated team members at the airport.”

Ms. Bonynge earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood University. She is a Certified member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives and an Airport Certified Employee (ACE) in Safety Management Systems, Airfield Operations, and Trusted Agent.
