Jackson Municipal Airport Authority Appoints Carolyn Dupré, CPA, as New Chief Financial Officer

JACKSON, MS – The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) has selected Carolyn DuPré as their new Chief Financial Officer. JMAA operates Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) and Hawkins Field (HKS). Ms. DuPré began her position with JMAA on August 3, 2020.
Carolyn brings more than twenty years of experience in leadership roles within finance and accounting in the education, hospital/healthcare and public service sectors. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has provided financial consulting to a broad range of clients. Ms. DuPré most recently served as Vice President of Finance & Administrative Services/Chief Financial Officer for Alcorn State University where she also served as a member of the University Cabinet and Executive Council.
Previously, Ms. DuPré held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Jackson Hinds Comprehensive Health Center. While there, Ms. DuPré implemented training programs and worked with all constituents to ensure compliance in all areas.
In her new role, Ms. DuPré will coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets for JMAA, oversee the Authority’s financial statements and serve as JMAA’s financial representative to internal and external stakeholders.

Ms. Ms. DuPré graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Professional Accountancy from Jackson State University and has been active in several organizations such as American Society of Women Accountants and Association of Government Accountants.
