The Birmingham Airport Authority Appoints Kimberly Bridger-Hunt as Public Information Officer

BIRMINGHAM, AL – The Birmingham Airport Authority has named Kimberly Bridger-Hunt as Public Information Officer.  In this role, Ms. Bridger-Hunt will manage a broad range of public communications and media affairs, including crisis management and regulatory issues on behalf of Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM). She began her position on May 16, 2022.

A seasoned communicator with experience in marketing strategy and implementation, Ms. Bridger-Hunt most recently was the Marketing Manager for Corpus Christi International Airport.  In that position, she managed marketing and public relations activities, advertising, social media, media relations and public information. Ms. Bridger-Hunt also has a background in broadcast television, serving as News Director and Assistant News Director for newsrooms in Texas and Iowa.

“I am really excited to join the team at BHM,” said Ms. Bridger-Hunt.  “This is a very professional group of individuals who are committed to making great things happen at the airport.  I am anxious to get to work and appreciate the collaborative approach taken by ADK during the hiring process.”

Ms. Bridger-Hunt earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Texas and went on to receive her master’s degree in Public Administration from Texas A&M University. She is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives.
