The City of San José Aviation Department Names Gene Frazier, C.M., SFP, CFM, as Deputy Director of Facilities

SAN JOSÉ, CA – The City of San José Aviation Department has named Gene Frazier, C.M., SFP, CFM, as Deputy Director of Facilities for Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC). Mr. Frazier is a senior aviation executive with more than ten years of facilities management experience. In his new position, he will provide executive leadership and oversight for facilities maintenance activities, including building maintenance, facility equipment systems, pavements and property maintenance, as well as contractual custodial services. As a member of the Airport Senior Team, Mr. Frazier will manage airport assets and lead all technical trades services as well as represent the airport with federal regulatory agencies, airlines, tenants, and consultants. Mr. Frazier will begin his new position on March 7, 2021.

Most recently, Mr. Frazier worked for Tallahassee International Airport as Superintendent – Airport Facilities Management where he was responsible for a $3 million operating budget and a $50 million airport capital budget. Previously, he was the Facility Operations Manager for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport CONRAC. He also worked for Rehabilitation Services, LLC, as Regional Facility Operations Director.
Mr. Frazier earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Howard University and his master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of New Orleans. He is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives. He also received certification from the International Facility Managers Association (IFMA) as a Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) and a Certified Facility Manager (CFM). Mr. Frazier was a 2020 recipient of IFMA’s Forty Under 40 award and a 2019 recipient of Airport Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40.
