The City of San José’s Aviation Department Appoints Drew Niemeyer as Deputy Director of Planning and Development

SAN JOSE, CA – The City of San José’s Aviation Department has selected
Drew Niemeyer as Deputy Director of Planning and Development for
Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC). In this role, Mr.
Niemeyer will lead a wide range of professional and paraprofessional team
members who perform a variety of multi-discipline airport projects in the
Airport Capital Development Program. He began his new position in June
2019.
Mr. Niemeyer brings more than 25 years of experience in capital programming, federal funding,
and program development with fiduciary responsible hands-on airport and commercial
construction & program management experience. Most recently, Mr. Niemeyer was a Senior
Project Manager with Parsons, Inc. where he was responsible for construction and delivery of
landside projects associated with the new passenger terminal at MEX New International
Airport. He has also worked for PM Technologies, Inc., Mendoza & Associates and The Walsh
Group.
Mr. Niemeyer earned a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical
University.
