The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority Appoints Edward McDonald as Assistant Vice President, Risk Management

NASHVILLE, TN – The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority has appointed Edward K. McDonald III as the new Assistant Vice President, Risk Management. In this position, Mr. McDonald will be responsible for identifying MNAA’s exposure to liability or financial loss that may result from claims arising from bodily injury, property damage, Director and Officer actions and all other types of insured and uninsured claims. He began his new position April 8, 2019.
Mr. McDonald has more than 25 years of experience in administration and operations leadership. Most recently he served as the Director, Risk Management/Assistant Treasurer for the Port of Portland. He has also held the position of Deputy Chief Administration Officer/General Manager with the Cleveland Airport System and was Senior Manager, Safety Operations, Disaster Preparedness, Emergency Management for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Prior to that, Mr. McDonald was the Director, Safety, Risk and Facility Operations for Harbor Group International, Inc.

Mr. McDonald received a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from Bryant & Stratton College and a master’s degree in business psychology from Franklin University. Mr. McDonald served honorably in the Marine Corps for over 12 years.
